Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Hi! I'm Rory. I started crocheting about five years ago, after the birth of my first daughter, because I wanted to be able to make her things. I googled "how to crochet," and I found this "Beginner Crochet" series from Brittany at Bhookedcrochet.com. I watched the entire series, and when my daughter was seven months old I was able to make her this hat!

I was so proud! I've made a lot of things since then, and I consider myself to be an intermediate crocheter at this point.

Anyway, since then I've had another daughter and a son, and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time looking up crochet patterns and projects that I can make for them (because why buy it if you can make it, right?). In my search for crochet projects, I noticed that rainbows are EVERYWHERE! And I love it! Aside from the personal meaning that rainbows have for me, there is just something about looking at a rainbow that lifts my spirit and gives me a sense of happiness.

There are a TON of amazing crochet rainbow projects there are out there. Too many for me to ever to be able to make, although they are all saved and pinned and liked, just waiting for me to have enough time to make them - no easy task when you work a full-time job and have three kids five and under. I started Rainbows and Yarn because I am truly inspired and delighted by the many rainbow makers out there, and I wanted to share that inspiration with other makers and crocheters. I hope you like what you see!
